Since seeing MARILYN:FOREVER BLONDE in Boston, Tricia and I have arrived in the UK and met up with friends, as well as family. First family port of call was Manchester which was great, and the second part was Edinburgh.

On the Entertainment scene, I managed to catch the musical based on the TV series BAD GIRLS before it closed. The show is actually very good, if not a little close to the bone on occasions, and hopefully it will see another life. Then in Edinburgh we saw a University student production of a very old-fashioned 50's musical SALAD DAYS. It shows its period, but it was performed with so much fun, and an audience consisting mainly of students (plus an occasional parent or grandparent) who loudly supported their mates, that the enthusiasm was infectious.

Next week sees us flying to Helsinki for a couple of days to take in the new Arena version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's STARLIGHT EXPRESS. More on that after the event.
