It's the time of year when it feels good about being out; so much happening on the streets of the Capital, as well as in the theatres. Much 'fringe' activity in the smaller spaces such as Bats Theatre, and in the past couple of nights Tricia and I have also enjoyed two separate plays at Circa. The first was the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, DOUBT, with the accomplished actress Helen Moulder, as the autocratic, suspicious senior Sister in an American Catholic school; quite thought-provoking, as was local playwright's, Stuart Hoar's play BACKWARDS IN HIGH HEELS, themed around Argentinian tango. Both plays well worth seeing.

For something culturally different, I will be in Auckland for skate-rock punk band MXPX on Tuesday. And so the world turns.
