Summer must be here, as the Black Caps are on a winning streak - at last. Hallelujah! So its time to go out and celebrate, and where better than at VIDEO GAMES LIVE?
This is the first time this event has ever been staged in New Zealand or Australia. And what's more the staging is occurring right here in Wellington. It's an amazing interactive concert featuring the Vector Wellington Orchestra and the Chapman Tripp Opera Chorus performing 'live' the music of some of the most famous video games in the world. From America come the composers of some of these tunes, plus the 17-year-old prodigy "the video games pianist". On big screens they cleverly integrate the video games images with the live performance of the music.
How? Don't ask me; best to just come to the TSB Bank Arena this Saturday, 24 February, to find out for yourself. All I know is that over 11,000 people saw the event a few months back in the Hollywood Bowl, with the LA Philharmonic, and the reviews and audience comment was sensational.
Come and join us on Saturday!
