Tricia is presently walking the world-famours Milford Track - a 4 night, 5 day walk thru some outstanding and unspoilt native wilderness that eventually ends up in Milford Sound in the Southern fiords. Expect more to come as she tells us all about it.
But even getting there was amazing. After an inter-island car ferry sailing, the drive via the Kaikoura Coast (a whale-watchers paradise) thru Christchurch and on thru Canterbury and North Otago in bright, sunny weather was brilliant. There are numerous places for caffeine stops in spectacular scenery before getting into the vineyards surroundin Arrowtown, Lake Hayes and Queenstown - the latter being the starting point for the intrepid Milford Track travellers.
